1. Introduction
Rattafy ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your data when you use our student learning platform for ICSE and ISC Grades 9-12.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
Usage Data: Lesson progress, concept map activity, review sessions, card performance, XP, stars, streaks, and related learning data used to power your study experience.
Payment Information: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card details. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
Technical Data: Server logs, IP addresses, browser type, and device information used for security and reliability.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the student learning service
- Personalize your ICSE/ISC study path, review timing, and analytics
- Process payments and manage subscriptions via Razorpay
- Send transactional emails, including receipts and session reminders
- Detect fraud and ensure platform security
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Razorpay: for payment processing
- Google: via OAuth for authentication
- Neon / Vercel: our infrastructure providers, under data processing agreements
- Law enforcement: only when legally required
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion, email privacy@cognitiveengine.app. Data will be deleted within 30 days of a verified request.
6. Cookies
We use session cookies via NextAuth.js to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies. Disabling cookies will prevent authentication.
7. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your data by emailing privacy@cognitiveengine.app.
8. Security
We use safeguards such as TLS encryption and access controls. No system is completely secure.
9. Children's Privacy
Rattafy is designed for students aged 13 and above and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
